This savoury French toast makes for a delicious brunch dish or perfect light supper.
thick slices of your favourite bread
Mix eggs and milk together (you’ll need approx 1 egg and ¼ cup milk per 2 sandwiches, depending on the size of your bread). Spread one slice of bread with mustard and layer on ham and cheese. Top with another slice of bread and dip the entire sandwich in the egg mix. Grill in sandwich press or fry on a low heat with a little butter in a pan. Serve with a green salad on tomato chutney.
